ART’s Anthoine Hubert has gone fastest overall on the second and final day of GP3’s first 2018 pre-season tests at Circuit Paul Ricard.

The Frenchman set a time of 1m48.674s in the morning to end the day on top of the timesheets.

His team-mate and Ferrari academy racer Callum Ilott was second, a tenth behind Hubert, as the duo were the only ones to get under the 1m49s barrier.

Leonardo Pulcini, Force India Formula 1 tester Nikita Mazepin and Sauber F1 development driver Tatiana Calderon completed the top five.

Jake Hughes was sixth above Alessio Lorandi and Simo Laaksonen.

Pedro Piquet was one of two drivers to improve their times in the afternoon session to rise to ninth, displacing Dorian Boccolacci.

Ferrari academy driver Giuliano Alesi ended 13th.

David Beckmann also improved in the later hours, moving two places to 16th overall.

This concludes the first GP3 action of the year, with testing resuming at Jerez on March 14-15.
