Correa joins Jenzer for rest of 2017 GP3 season

Italian Formula 4 race winner Juan Manuel Correa is joining Jenzer for the remainder of the 2017 GP3 season.

Correa joins Alessio Lorandi and Haas Formula 1 development driver Arjun Maini at the team to help him build momentum for racing in a series in 2018.

He finished sixth in the Italian category with Prema in 2016 after claiming three wins and returned to the series for six events in 2017 with a best result of eighth.

Correa believes that the step is right for his career, but that the learning curve may be steep initially.

“I feel ready for the next step and I am convinced that GP3 is the right way to go,” he said.

“It is a big challenge to change in the middle of a season, considering the much more powerful car and that, for example, I don’t know the track at Spa, which is legendary.

“I have to cope with an entirely new environment and I wish to gain a maximum of experience for 2018.”

Both Lorandi and Maini finished in the top-10 during their first weekend with the team in 2016.
