Boccolacci and Tveter included in finalised Trident GP3 line-up

Dorian Boccolacci and Ryan Tveter have been announced as the final two drivers in Trident’s line-up for the 2017 GP3 season.

The drivers partner previously-announced Giuliano Alesi and Kevin Joerg after both completed all three pre-season tests with the team.

Tveter also joins Alesi and other drivers in the junior ladder to Formula 1 in being supported by the Jagonya Ayam brand.

Boccolacci impressed by topping the timesheets on three occasions out of 12 morning and afternoon sessions, while Tveter finished in the top-10 in six sessions.

Frenchman Boccolacci graduates to the series after finishing third in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC and second in the 2.0 Eurocup championships last season. He will drive its number 12 machine.

His new American team-mate moves up from racing in seven rounds of the European Formula 3 championship last year, finishing 17th in the overall standings. Tveter will sit in its number 11 car.

Team manager Giacomo Ricci believes both drivers can assist Trident in gathering race wins.

“We have four extremely strong drivers and I’m sure they will work well together and provide the team with a great contribution in order to fight at the top of the pack, which is a tradition for Trident in this challenging championship,” he said.

This news means that just two empty seats remain on the current grid, with Julien Falchero the only announced driver at Campos.
