Boschung to miss Malaysian round due to financial issues

Koiranen GP driver Ralph Boschung has confirmed that he will miss the next round of the GP3 Series in Malaysia due to financial issues.

The 19-year-old tweeted the news to his Twitter followers with a week to go until the next two races at the Sepang International Circuit.

This will be the second time this season that he has missed a round of the series. The Austrian sprint race winner missed the sixth round of the season in Belgium after suffering the same problems.

During this absence, he was replaced by Red Bull junior Niko Kari, who made his debut in the series at Spa, but a replacement for the upcoming round has yet to be confirmed. Boschung was also a member of the team at the circuit during that round.

Despite missing one round, the Swiss driver remains in the top ten of the championship, in tenth place on 48 points.

The Koiranen team have used five drivers so far this season, with Matt Parry and Matevos Isaakyan, racing in every round, Boschung, Kari and Mahaveer Raghunathan, who left the series after the first round.
