The 2016 GP3 season promises to be one of the most unpredictable and closest season’s the sport has ever seen.
With the introduction of the new generation cars and teams now been allowed to run up to four cars, it’s the breath of fresh air GP3 needed.
Overtaking should increase with this new generation car and it’s likely whichever team can understand these new machines quickest will have a great chance of winning the championship.
The field is arguably stronger than ever with numerous Formula One junior drivers, for example, Ferrari’s Antonio Fuoco, Charles Leclerc, Giuliano Alesi and Hass development driver Santino Ferrucci.
McLaren junior Nyck de Vries enters the series with frontrunners ART while a number of drivers who showed great potential in 2015, return determined to go all the way in 2016.
Alex Palou and Antonio Fuoco stay put at Campos and Trident respectively while Ralph Boschung moves from Jenzer to Koiranen GP.
