GP3 is set to enter a new era in 2016 with a new chassis – the Dallara GP3/16. This new chassis has the aims of increasing overtaking and further improving safety.
All teams entering this new era must run three cars, however, have the option to run a fourth after the field shrunk to seven teams for 2016. Currently, 16 drivers have been confirmed for the 2016 GP3 season and there is a minimum of six seats and a maximum of twelve seats remaining.
