Jorge Martin put in a sensational ride to take victory at the Sachsenring despite being involved in an incident with teammate Fabio di Giannantonio.

Martin and di Giannantonio collided at turn one whilst fighting for the lead, with the Italian crashing out of the race and the lead.

Marco Bezzecchi would take a vital second place for his world championship fight, whilst John McPhee crossed the line third, his first podium in almost a year.

Marcos Ramirez was fourth, with Aron Canet fifth. Jaume Maisa crossed the line in sixth place, with Jakub Kornfeil in seventh.

Phillip Oettl secured eighth place at his home GP, with Raul Fernandez mounting a great fightback to finish in ninth place.

Ayumu Sasaki finished in tenth place, with Adam Norrodin and Andrea Migno finishing in eleventh and twelfth respectively.

Martin holds a seven point lead in the standings over Marco Bezzecchi, with the pair set to fight it out for the remainder of the season.

MotoGP is set to go on it’s Summer break, with action returning next month at the Czech GP at Brno.
