Romano Fenati wins battle of attrition at Misano

In awful conditions, Romano Fenati took victory at Misano in a race full of crashes.

Only 15 riders would finish the race, with many riders crashing in the torrential rain. Fenati would be one of those who would manage to brave the conditions and win by over 20 seconds.

Joan Mir was second, taking vital points for his championship charge. Fabio di Giannantonio was third, the Italian taking yet another podium in his home country.

Phillip Oettl was fourth, with Nicolo Bulega fifth. Bo Bendsneyder finished in sixth place, just ahead of Jakub Kornfeil and Albert Arenas. Andrea Migno was ninth, with Jaume Masia finishing the race in tenth place.

Manuel Pagliani finished in eleventh with Marcos Ramirez finished in twelfth. Alex Fabbri, wildcarding in this race, finished in thirteenth, getting a point scoring finish. Enea Bastianini, the polesitter and Lorenzo Della Porta were the final finishers.

The next race in the championship takes place in two weeks time at Aragon in Spain.
