Enea Bastianini’s resurgence in the Moto3 class continued as the Italian took pole position in Moto3 at Misano.

Fabio di Giannantonio led for most of the session before losing his lead in the final minutes of the session. The Italian will start from fourth place in the race tomorrow. Romano Fenati and Gabriel Rodrigo will join di Giannantonio on row 2, starting fifth and sixth respectively.

Ayumu Sasaki had an impressive session, with the Japanese rider starting from 7th tomorrow. Niccolo Antonelli will start eighth, with Bo Bendsneyder starting ninth. Nicolo Bulega rounds out the top ten, starting from tenth.

The end of the session was marred by a severe crash by Livio Loi. The Belgian clipped the already crashing Rodrigo and was sent skyward. The Leopard racing rider walked away from the incident and went to the medical centre for a check up.

The Moto3 race gets underway tomorrow at 10:00 BST.
