Red Bull Honda World Superbike rider and 2006 MotoGP champion Nicky Hayden is reported to be in a serious condition in hospital following a training accident in Italy today.
Details on exactly what occurred and the extent of Hayden’s injuries are scarce at the time of writing, but reports suggest the American was hit by a car whilst cycling along the Rimini coastline earlier today.
Hayden was attended to by emergency services at the scene of the incident before being taken to hospital.
