WorldSBK will race at The Bend from 2028 after confirming a multi-year agreement for the Australian Round at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia.
The championship announced the move on Friday, 19 June, with The Bend set to join the calendar from WorldSBK’s 41st season. The series said the venue, located in South Australia, will become the future home of the Australian Round, according to an official WorldSBK announcement.
The deal gives WorldSBK a new Australian base after decades of the country forming part of the championship’s identity. The Bend has been positioned as a modern international motorsport venue, with multiple circuit layouts and infrastructure built to stage major events.

Dr Sam Shahin, managing director of Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, described the agreement as a historic moment for the venue and South Australia, while WorldSBK executive director Gregorio Lavilla said the circuit offered strong facilities and commitment to motorsport.
South Australian premier Peter Malinauskas also framed the announcement as part of a wider push to make the state Australia’s motorsport capital, alongside MotoGP, the Adelaide 500 and the AirTouch 500 Enduro.
Dates and ticketing details for the first WorldSBK event at The Bend have not yet been confirmed. That leaves the 2028 debut as the next key milestone for fans, teams and manufacturers tracking the championship’s Australian future.
