Bulega WorldSBK Lead Puts Ducati On Donington Title Watch

Nicolo Bulega’s flawless 2026 WorldSBK run has turned the coming Donington Park round into a possible Ducati coronation weekend.

The official WorldSBK state-of-play update says Bulega has taken the maximum 434 points available after seven rounds, leaving Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team-mate Iker Lecuona 121 points adrift.

That scale of control changes the tone of the UK Round. Bulega may still need until Cremona to seal the riders’ crown if the assumptions keep holding, but Ducati’s wider title picture is already far more immediate.

Ducati’s Donington Chance Is Brutal

Ducati also has a perfect manufacturers’ tally from Bulega’s wins and leads Bimota by 242 points. WorldSBK’s own calculation says Ducati can clinch the manufacturers’ title at Donington if it outscores Bimota by 31 points across Race 1 and the Superpole Race, or by six points across the full weekend.

The teams’ table is almost as stark: Aruba.it Racing – Ducati sits on 747 points, 463 clear of the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team. That makes Donington less a mid-season checkpoint than the first real title trigger of the campaign.

For context, ReadMotorSport previously tracked the WorldSBK records Bulega could chase. Three months on, the record story has hardened into a championship-management problem for everyone else.

The marker now is simple: Bulega has made perfection normal, and Donington may show whether Ducati can convert that dominance into silverware before July even settles.
