On his comeback from injury, Italian Enea Bastianini topped the timesheets in the final Friday practice session for the Moto3 class.
The Italian suffered an injury in Australia and missed the Malaysian GP. However, on his first return race, the Gresini Racing rider is right back on the pace.
FP1 stars Juanfran Guevara and Gabriel Rodrigo of the RBA Racing Team had a less successful afternoon session, with Guevara finishing behind Bastianini in second. Rodrigo finished down in tenth place.

Behind Guevara was Joan Mir, who is making a good case to be the rookie of the year. Champion Brad Binder was fourth, whilst Philipp Oettl ended up in fifth place.
Jorge Navarro had a day to forget, as the Spaniard had a big crash that saw him go to the medical centre in FP1. In FP2, the Estrella Galicia 0.0 rider managed a solid sixth place, as he looks to cement his place in the standings. Behind him was Fabio Quartararo, Jorge Martin, Jakub Kornfeil and Rodrigo, who rounded out the top ten on the first day of practice.
The Moto3 riders return tomorrow for FP3 and the final qualifying of the year.
