Three drivers will gain experience of the GP3-16 chassis in the series’ second post-season test at Abu Dhabi, with three teams altering their line-ups.
Formula Renault Eurocup race winner Max Defourny, who tested for ART and Arden on the same track in 2016, joins MP alongside Niko Kari and Leonard Hoogenboom, replacing Gabriel Aubry.
Aubry ended the first day ninth in the standings, almost 1.2 seconds adrift of the fastest time.
It is Defourny’s latest step up the junior ladder following his European Formula 3 race debut at Nurburgring in September.
British driver Ben Hingeley – who competed in British F3 and Euroformula Open for Fortec this year – joins Jenzer in place of Job van Uitert, who was 20th in the opening event.
Hingeley won four races in the latter campaign, finishing third behind champion Enaam Ahmed.
Louis Gachot – son of former Formula 1 driver Bertrand – competes for Campos instead of Thiago Vivacqua after the Brazilian lapped to 15th in the timesheets on day one.
Gachot spent 2017 in the ADAC Formula 4 championship, finishing 16th in the standings with a best result of third at its Lausitzring round.
The first session ended with Kari on top of the timesheets ahead of Trident duo Alessio Lorandi and Giuliano Alesi.
