Norris and Russell star as F2 testing day 1 line-up revealed

Lando Norris and George Russell are among the 20 drivers testing on the opening day of Formula 2’s final test of 2017 in Abu Dhabi.

European Formula 3 champion Norris will test for Campos Racing, the team he drove for in the final round of the F2 season. He will switch to Carlin next season.

Mercedes junior Russell, who sealed the GP3 championship last month in Jerez, will test for his ART Grand Prix alongside his GP3 team-mate and title rival Jack Aitken.

2017 ART F2 driver Alexander Albon will test for DAMS alongside regular Nicholas Latifi.

Prema Racing’s 2018 drivers Sean Gelael and Nyck de Vries will test for the Italian outfit.

Gelael’s former team-mate Norman Nato will test for his old team Racing Engineering. Euro F3 race winner Maximilian Gunther will also drive for the Spanish team.

The outgoing Russian Time team will run Artem Markelov and Honda junior Tadasuke Makino.

Fellow Honda junior Nirei Fukuzumi will test for Arden International with Ralph Boschung in the other seat.

Louis Deletraz switches from Rapax to MP Motorsport. Luca Ghiotto swaps Russian Time for a test with the Dutch team. Boschung will test for the team later in the week.

Trident will run Santino Ferrucci and Haas development driver Arjun Maini.

Series veteran Rene Binder will join Ferrari junior Guanyu Zhou in testing for Rapax in its final ever F2 test.

Michael Dorrbecker completes the line-up for the first of three days of testing at the Yas Marina Circuit. He will test for Campos alongside Norris.
