Sette Camara stripped of maiden F2 front row start
Sergio Sette Camara has been disqualified from qualifying for the Formula 2 Austrian feature race and will start the race from the back of the grid.
The Brazilian rookie has so far failed to score a single point this year, while his MP Motorsport team-mate Jordan King has racked up 37 points. Camara came closest to points with a ninth place finish in the Azerbaijan sprint race.
The 19-year-old had qualified in second place for the Austrian feature race but due to post-session scrutineering checks, he will now start at the back due to not being able to provide the minimum fuel sample.
Camara was going for a lap which could have beaten eventual poleman Charles Leclerc when he beached his car at Turn 8.
His disqualification promotes Antonio Fuoco onto the front row of the grid, making it a Prema Racing 1-2.
The Italian squad are in desperate need of points if they want to regain their teams’ championship as poor performances from Fuoco have left Prema down in third place.
On his return to the sport after injury, Alexander Albon will start in third position for ART Grand Prix with Leclerc’s championship rival Oliver Rowland starting in fourth.
Nobuharu Matsushita, Nyck de Vries, Luca Ghiotto and Nicholas Latifi will complete the top eight on the grid.
