Hitech Grand Prix’s Ralf Aron and Jake Hughes will line-up one-two for the second European Formula 3 race at the Norisring on Sunday morning.
Race one winner Maximilian Gunther took pole position for the third and final race of the weekend, Force India’s Jehan Daruvala will join him on the front row.
The Indian was the pacesetter for a large majority of the session but fell to fifth in the timesheets.
Aron was fastest with a 47.859s, ahead of his team-mate Hughes, Gunther, Lando Norris and Daruvala.
Pedro Piquet was sixth quickest ahead of Callum Ilott – who takes a five place grid penalty for causing a collision in race one – Harrison Newey, Nikita Mazepin and Guanyu Zhou.
Second in the championship Joel Eriksson suffered another nightmare session, only managing the 12th quickest time. The Swede will line-up in 10th for race three.
