Faraday Future Dragon Racing has begun testing its season four challenger, the Penske-EV02.
Jerome D’Ambrosio drove Faraday Future powered car in a private test yesterday. He completed over 50 laps in the new car.
Team principal Jay Penske described the test as “enlightening” but says there is still lots of work to be done before next season.
“We brought the Penske-EV02 on an enlightening and successful test run,” he said. “Most work completed involved sorting the software for the next season of the Formula E championship. We will continue with development work alongside our technical partner, Faraday Future, in the coming months.”
A number of other teams have also begun testing their season four cars. The Penske-EV02 will join its competitors in the official preseason test due to take place in October in Valencia.
Dragon Racing has had a difficult season so far, taking only 19 points from eight races. The team is currently bottom of the teams’ standings with only four races left this year.
