Driver of the Day: 2016 Berlin ePrix

Sebastien Buemi won the Berlin ePrix, bringing his deficit in the Drivers’ Championship to Lucas di Grassi down to just one point going into the two London rounds.

The battle for the Teams’ Championship is also close, as the top four in the race consisted just of Renault e.dams and Abt Schaeffler drivers. Both titles look like they will be decided during the final round at Battersea Park on July 3.

Many other drivers stood out during the race as well. Jean-Eric Vergne put in a great performance to grab pole position for the race, while Stephane Sarrazin and Nick Heidfeld scored points after starting near the back of the grid.

Daniel Abt, teammate of di Grassi at Abt Schaeffler, won’t want to be forgotten after finishing second in his home ePrix, while Nico Prost and Robin Frijns also did well in their cars.
