The championship’s official broadcast hub lists the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix weekend beginning with Free Practice 1 on Friday, July 3, before the first race programme builds into Round 12 on Saturday, July 4. A second race follows on Sunday, July 5, turning the Chinese double-header into one of the most compressed scoring opportunities left in the 2025-26 campaign.
For Oliver Rowland and Nissan, that format sharpens the weekend. Shanghai offers 58 points across two races before fastest lap and pole bonuses are considered, but it also removes the comfort of a normal reset between events.

The official Formula E schedule confirms Shanghai as Rounds 12 and 13, with the championship returning to the Shanghai International Circuit after last season’s double-header. That matters because the Shanghai layout tends to reward efficiency more than spectacle. Energy targets, pack timing and qualifying track position can swing heavily across back-to-back races, especially when teams have limited time to absorb Saturday’s data before Sunday’s repeat.
