ePrix Preview: Buenos Aires

Round four of the FIA Formula E championship heads to the Puerto Madero Street Circuit, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After a long break over the festival period, Formula E will return to action.

Renault e.Dams’ Sebastian Buemi currently leads the drivers’ championship after three rounds, one point clear of ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport’s Lucas di Grassi, who has finished in the top two in each of the first three races of season two in Formula E. Reigning Formula E champion, Nelson Piquet Jr, sits in 16th position, picking up only four points in the opening three rounds.

The Buenos Aires ePrix sees several driver changes come into play. Mike Conway replaces 1997 Formula One champion Jacques Villeneuve at Venturi while Salvador Durán will re-join Team Aguri for the rest of the season after they split with Nathanaël Berthon.

Going into Punta del Este, Renault e.Dams’ Sebastien Buemi is still the man to beat. e.Dams still have the fastest package, and arguably the fastest driver. Gains may have been made by the other teams over the break between Punta del Este and this weekend’s event.
