The final Free Practice of 2015 finished with Nico Rosberg continuing his run of form, ahead of team-mate and World Champion Lewis Hamilton
Raikkonen led the session early on ahead of team-mate Vettel with a 1:43.2. Vettel himself had a spin at turn one.
When the Mercedes duo joined the track on the same soft tyre, Hamilton topping the timing screens and Rosberg slotting in third. Hamilton soon after had a spin in the turn five-six-seven complex.
Daniil Kvyat wouldn’t set a competitive lap-time in the session with a persisting problem.
Rosberg leaped to the top on the supersoft tyre with a 1:42.196, leading Hamilton’s effort by three-tenths.
Vettel finished just a tenth behind the Mercedes in a surprisingly close pack. Sergio Perez impressed to finish P4. Raikkonen fifth. Ricciardo sixth. Hulkenberg seventh, The two Williams’ in eighth and ninth. Carlos Sainz looked more comfortable than his team-mate and completed the top ten.
Button continued to show McLaren can challenge for points this weekend in 11th with Alonso in 16th but was complaining of “stupid” traffic on his flyer. Maldonado 12th, Nasr 13th, Verstappen 14th.
Grosjean has been rarely out-paced by his team-mate in 2015 but finished 15th. Ericsson 17th and ahead of the two Manor drivers, Stevens being the faster by two-tenths, and the absent Daniil Kvyat who looks to finish ahead of team-mate Ricciardo in the standings.
