Formula E teams restricted to two driver changes per car

All of the Formula E teams will now be restricted to just two driver changes per car during season two of the series.

The changes are welcomed as some teams changed their drivers on race-by-race basis adding much-needed consistency to the grid and improving the championship as a whole.

In season one of the series, 30 drivers took part, identifying why this rule change has been implemented for season two. In addition, no changes will be allowed to be made in the final three rounds of the championship so the title fight remains fair and unaffected. Any driver changes must now be announced two weeks prior to the event.

Drivers must have collected 20 points over the previous three seasons which are used to qualify for a Formula One super licence. Points are awarded depending on where you finish in a respective series.

All drivers must comply to the e-licence system. This new system involves an FIA Formula E training session, this involves learning about safety, the electrical equipment among other things.
