Binder to break ties with Trident

According to TotalMotorsport, Rene Binder is to break ties with Trident, for whom he raced in this season all up to Belgium which he had to sit out due to issues with health, had struggled with many issues denying him points on the board.

Information was given to Motorsport-Total.com that Binder will move to MP Motorsport racing in this weekend’s races at Monza and as Daniel De Jong was injured in a crash at Spa, the team needed a driver to replace him.

In his GP2 career, which started in 2012, he has only scored 14 career points in 66 races, has raced for three teams, Lazarus, Arden & Trident, with MP Motorsport to be the fourth outfit.

Binder has failed to score a point in 2015 while Trident teammate Marciello has scored 58 points. Binder’s replacement Gustav Malja scored a single point in the feature race at Spa.
