- Norris joins Time 100 as an innovator following his 2025 championship win.
- Paris Hilton praises McLaren star’s grounded personality & connection with fans.
- New wax figure at Madame Tussauds marks Norris’s growing global impact.
Lando Norris has added another badge to his wall of achievements as he receives the honour of being the only F1 driver to grace the Time 100 influential people list this year. This list is spread across various categories, each including different personalities. For Norris, he’s recognised in the “Innovators” category.
The selection criteria for the list don’t depend on popularity, but on those who bring change, create impact and make innovative contributions across the world, regardless of their positive or negative consequences. It’s a month-long procedure to finalise the list, done by the Time editors. The personalities who could potentially be considered in the list are suggested by their international writing staff or alumni.
Last month, Norris also received the honour of his first wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London, which will be unveiled this summer. On social media, several videos and photos were posted, which showcased him working with the team, providing them with key measurements for the figure.
There’s no doubt that Norris has indeed become a prominent icon in F1, not just for his drive and consistency, but also for his off-track witty, humorous, and kind personality. Apart from the sport, he connects with a wider audience through his personal brands, his online and streaming presence, and his advocacy for mental health awareness.
Paris Hilton pens Norris entry in Time 100
In the entry, Hilton revealed that she first came across Norris at the Miami Grand Prix and instantly liked his energy. While she acknowledged his racing talent, what stood out for her was his humble and kind persona. “Even with all the pressure of the spotlight, he stays grounded, which is rare. Watching him become world champion in 2025 was honestly amazing—so well deserved, and such a major moment,” she wrote, referring to the biggest moment of Norris’ career, last year.
Further, she stated that she has noticed his connection with fans, taking some time out for them, and showcasing how much they truly mean to him. “He’s so fun, warm, and approachable. I love that he’s inspiring so many people by showing that you can work hard, reach the top, and still stay completely true to yourself,” she penned.
