Alex Rins took a sensational debut win at the Circuit of the Americas, with Marc Marquez unable to continue his streak in the United States.

The Repsol Honda man crashed out of the lead, letting Rins and Valentino Rossi in to battle it out for the lead of the race.

The Suzuki rider battled Rossi hard and to the very end, and was able to take a very unexpected win ahead of the veteran Italian.

Jack Miller would get his first podium since his win at Assen on the Marc VDS machine, with Andrea Dovizioso coming home fourth to lead the world championship after an awful qualifying.

It would be a miserable day for Honda, with Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo and Cal Crutchlow are failing to finish at the Texan circuit.

Franco Morbidelli came home in an impressive fifth place, with his teammate Fabio Quartararo not far behind him in seventh. Danilo Petrucci was sixth.
