Aron Canet defied the rainy conditions by taking pole position for tomorrow’s German Moto3 race.
The Spaniard was able to improve his time after a brief rain shower. The rain saw many people stay in the box. However, once it dried up, Canet was able to go out and take pole position. He deposed championship leader Joan Mir from the top spot, with the Spaniard lining up alongside Canet in second.

Nicolo Bulega will start from third, the Italian returning to the front row. Marcos Ramirez will head up the second row in fourth, with Tony Arbolino putting in a great ride to start from fifth. Romano Fenati will start from sixth.
Phillip Oettl will start from seventh at his home GP, ahead of Bo Bendsneyder in eighth and Enea Bastianini in ninth. John McPhee will start from tenth place.
The Moto3 race will get underway tomorrow at 10:00 BST from the Sachsenring.
