Top five Chinese Grand Prix moments

After Sebastian Vettel took a surprise win in Melbourne, Formula One heads to Shanghai with a sense of anticipation.

This is the first race on a permanent circuit this season, meaning that we should gain a better sense of this year’s running order in China. What’s more, this race should provide a good idea of how overtaking will pan out this year.

Despite most “Tilkedromes” being seen as boring circuits, the Chinese Grand Prix usually provides good action – with last year’s race breaking the record for most overtakes in a Grand Prix at 161.

Antonio Giovinazzi will again take Pascal Werhlein’s seat at Sauber for this race, with the German still not back to full race fitness following his Race of Champions crash late last year.

Italian Giovinazzi, 23, impressed in Melbourne after finishing 12th on his début, despite having just one hour of practice. The Ferrari reserve driver will again be hoping for a strong finish, as he looks to join the grid full time in 2018.

To get you in the mood for Sunday’s race, we have picked our top five moments from the past 13 Chinese Grands Prix.
