Formula 1 is back! Four months after Nico Rosberg claimed the title in Abu Dhabi, the circus starts all over again in Melbourne on Sunday – and a lot has changed since we left the Yas Marina Circuit.
Rosberg has retired, Felipe Massa has come back from his retirement, Ron Dennis has been unceremoniously removed from McLaren and Manor has folded.
Furthermore, the cars will look very different to the ones that lined up at Albert Park twelve months ago – and not just because of the new regulations. McLaren has gone orange for 2017, whilst Force India will début their brand new pink livery in first practice.
2017 promises faster, better looking cars, one of the most talented grids we’ve seen for a long time and closer racing.
This will be the 22nd running of the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne and the 33rd in total. In that time we have seen so many memorable moments. We have highlighted the top five below.
