Norman Nato ended the third and final day of Formula 2 testing quickest, setting the fastest time of the three-day test in the process.
The Frenchman, driving for Pertamina Arden, circulated the Barcelona circuit in 1m27.834s, about half a tenth of a second ahead of his closest rival, Oliver Rowland.
Day two pacesetter Alexander Albon was third on the timesheets and the only other driver to lap under the 1m28s mark.
The morning session told the story of the day, as no driver in the field was able to improve on their times in the afternoon. Instead of chasing lap times, drivers elected to run race simulations and test the reliability of their cars.
Dutch rookie Nyck de Vries took the fourth fastest time in his Rapax, while Luca Ghiotto was fifth ahead of team-mate Artem Markelov.
Sean Gelael ensured both Ardens were on the pace with the seventh fastest time, while the DAMS of Nicholas Latifi and the Prema duo of Charles Leclerc and Antonio Fuoco rounded out the top ten.
Series veteran Johnny Cecotto set the second fastest time in the afternoon, but was not an improvement to his morning time and ended 13th fastest, while race winners Jordan King and Nobuharu Matsushita were 15th and 18th, respectively.
Former Formula 1 driver Roberto Merhi was 19th, while the Trident of Nabil Jeffri propped up the field in 20th.
