Marc Marquez is hoping the worst of the British weather stays away this weekend as he attempts to extend his championship lead.
The Repsol Honda rider goes into this weekend with a huge lead over rivals Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi in the world championship. He almost has a two-race win gap between himself and the Yamaha pair, and will be looking to extend it at Silverstone.

However, the Spaniard will be hoping for a dry race, as the Honda doesn’t like the wet as much as the Ducati or Yamaha. He has previous in the dry after winning here in 2014 and also narrowly missing out in 2013 after a great battle with Jorge Lorenzo.
“On this circuit in the dry I feel good, every year I’ve been competitive. I know Jorge is fast too but we’ll focus on us, in our garage. If it’s wet, then we’ll try and manage how we have in the recent races.”
