Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso today confirmed that he is suffering knee pain after crashing at a Ducati test at Misano.
Dovizioso, who had a disappointing finish last time out at Brno, crashed in the private test, damaging his knee. He also confirmed that he had been seeking physiotherapy for the injury.
He said “I really could have done without that crash at Misano, but I’m working with my physiotherapist to do everything possible to be OK for Silverstone. My right knee is still giving me some pain but I’m undergoing intense physiotherapy.”
Speaking ahead of the weekend to Read Motorsport, Dovizioso also said he believes the Ducati would be suited to the Northamptonshire circuit, but will be interested to see how the Ducati handles the Maggots-Becketts complex.
“It’ll be interesting to see how we are in the early part of the track because in Austin this year in the fast corners with the changes of direction we lost a lot. So it’ll be interesting to see what will happen here. It is quite similar here so we’ll see”.
