Andrea Dovizioso believes Ducati still have room to improve after ending today’s practice sessions on top.
Dovizioso and teammate Andrea Iannone blitzed the field, with the Ducati being suited to the track layout of the Red Bull Ring.
This was shown before hand at the pre-race tests before the Summer break, where the factory and satellite Ducati’s dominated. It was teammate Iannone who ended that session on top, but Dovizioso was not far behind in second place.

However, even with their success, Dovizioso knows that they must keep improving over the rest of the weekend if they want to take the Ducati Factory’s first win since Casey Stoner won at Phillip Island in 2010.
He said that “I’m very satisfied with how my weekend has started, although the tyres and the weather conditions were very different to during the test in July. Despite that, we’ve been able to confirm our good performance and we’re going well – but it’s not enough because we still have room to improve ahead of the race. It’s certain though, with this speed, that we can use the two sessions tomorrow to look for the best race pace.”
