The Austrian Grand Prix was one of the best races of the 2016 season so far. We saw Haas win points again, contact between teammates and a very unexpected qualifying result with Button starting in third place! With so many accomplishments taking place across the weekend, believe me when I say that this was the most difficult Star Driver I’ve ever decided on.
After a lot of time and thought I’ve finally chosen none other than Manor’s Pascal Wehrlein as my Star Driver.

The 2015 DTM Champion had an incredible qualifying, as many did, managing to get his car into 12th position. This in itself is an incredible achievement as the team has only been 12th on the grid once before – with Jules Bianchi at the wheel.

Although his qualifying is what first caught my attention, Wehrlein did not disappoint in the race as he managed the finish in tenth position, bringing home one point for his team; their first of the season!
Pascal displayed some incredible defensive driving throughout the race as he managed to maintain his place and points. This race was certainly one worth celebrating and recognising.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Pascal on his incredible weekend and Manor on scoring their first point. I hope they continue to nurture his skill and I very much look forward to seeing what his future holds.
