Bottas dissapointed with performance in Monaco

Valtteri Bottas was disappointed with his performance in the weather-hit Monaco Grand Prix, after finishing outside of the points.

Bottas ended the race in 12th, and he wasn’t able to use the changing conditions on track to his advantage. His teammate Felipe Massa was able to take the final points position.

“It was of course disappointing to finish outside the points,” Bottas said after the race. “I think we really need to look at our strategy and why we lost a good position after the track was starting to dry.”

The two Williams drivers looked to be in trouble even before the rain came to Monaco, with Bottas qualifying 11th and Massa starting the race in 14th.

He understands that it was a difficult race with the changing conditions. “It’s possible we stopped at the wrong time, but the conditions were tricky today and it wasn’t an easy race.”

The Finnish driver finds himself eight points behind his Brazilian teammate in the Drivers’ Championship.
