Spanish GP: Rider Ratings

Valentino Rossi took his first win of the season on Sunday by winning the Spanish GP at Jerez.

The nine time world champion, whose last win came at Silverstone last season, dominated that race from start to finish. With Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez unable to even get close to the Yamaha rider come the end of the race.

Lorenzo was visibly unhappy as soon as he returned to parc ferme, with the Spaniard blaming the new Michelin tyres for his inability to catch his teammate.

Marquez on the other hand was only disappointed that he was unable to give the Spanish crowd a good race, with the troubles that all the Hondas have suffered this year resurfacing again, with Marquez admitting he almost crashed several times during the race.

Following Marquez was his teammate Dani Pedrosa and Suzuki’s Aleix Espargaro.

Here’s how we rated the riders performances (out of ten) at Jerez.
