Star Driver: 2016 Chinese GP

China, as per usual, was a very energetic race. I didn’t quite know where to look as collisions seemed to be happening left, right and center. Despite this, every single one of the cars managed to finish the race, but no one’s race was perfect. Taking this into account, I decided that this race’s Star Driver is Daniil Kvyat.

After that awkward discussion between Sebastian Vettel and himself, it’s impossible not to mention that Kvyat’s race wasn’t the easiest. He was definitely involved in a tussle or two. Then again, almost everyone was.

Some people could argue that Kvyat’s finish was gained through the misfortune of others. I’d prefer to say that he saw a chance and took it, and who wouldn’t? As a racing driver, it’s vital that you seize every opportunity that is thrown at you when you’re on track and Daniil Kvyat did just that.

Daniil Kvyat drove with a raw passion this weekend and his podium was more than a little deserved.

After watching Kvyat’s race this weekend it’s hard to believe that it was only his second podium of his Formula One career. If he continues to drive with the fire he drove with on this occasion, I’m sure he’ll become a regular fixture on the podium.

Congratulations to both Daniil and his team on their podium appearance!
