Lucas Di Grassi took his second victory of the season and this time, the win stood and the Brazilian took the championship lead by a single point over Sebastien Buemi.
Buemi had a nightmare of a race after slamming into the back of Robin Frijns, not the first major error from the former Toro Rosso Formula One driver this season, but this is undoubtedly his biggest yet and could arguably cost him the championship by the end of the season.
Stephane Sarrazin moved up to fifth place in the drivers standings after scoring his first podium in his Formula E career. Daniel Abt earned his first podium of the season with a third place ahead, of the two Mahindra drivers. It’s the best result for the Indian team in Formula E with 22 points scored on Saturday.
