Speed UP Factory Team rider Simone Corsi finished fastest in private Moto2 testing at Jerez today.
Wednesday 24th February 2016 saw the second and final day of private testing at the Spanish circuit where the Italian rider finished top taking over half a second off the fastest time set by Lorenzo Baldassarri the day before. Corsi’s time of 1’42.361 not only beat Baldassarri’s time of 1’42.939, he was also significantly faster than Tito Rabat’s qualifying time of 1:42.874 which gained him pole position for the Moto 2 race in 2015 with the Marc VDS team.

Moto 2 and Moto 3 teams were present in Jerez for alternating hour long session and although circuit timing was available at the track, not all riders decided to run with transponders. Official Moto 2 testing is set to take place in Jerez on March 2nd over three days at the track.
