Former Formula 1 race winner Robert Kubica is looking for a race seat in Formula E, according to German magazine Auto Bild.
Kubica is currently competing in the World Rally Championship after winning the WRC 2 title in his first season. 2014 was his first full season in the WRC, but after two years he has found life there hard and now Auto Bild reckons that he is looking for a seat in Formula E.
The Polish race driver shared a message on Facebook, “I’m sorry that I have to confirm that we will not participate in this year’s Rally Sweden.” Auto Bild believes this is because Kubica doesn’t have the sponsorship to let him participate in the second round in WRC.
It has been five years since his serious rally accident in Italy, where Kubica seriously injured his hand. At one point amputation looked likely, however the winner of the 2008 Canada F1 GP could now potentially make a comeback in a single seater.
