Heidfeld to race in Buenos Aires

Nick Heidfeld has confirmed he will be racing in this weekend’s Formula E race in Buenos Aires.

After completing the 30-minute shakedown session at the Puerto Madero Street Circuit, the German confirmed afterwards he will race on Saturday as planned.

The 38-year-old missed the race at Punta del Este due to needing surgery on his wrist.

The former F1 driver completed a test in a GP2 car last week to ensure he was ready for this weekend’s ePrix in Argentina.

2009 A1 GP champion Adam Carroll was on standby in the event Heidfeld was unable to race, but will now be forced to watch from the sidelines.
