Stefano Coletti hopes for 2015/16 Formula E drive with Aguri

IndyCar driver Stefano Coletti is hoping to drive for Team Aguri in the 2015/16 season, after having testing the car at Donnington.

With Salvador Duran joining the Trulli team, Aguri has both drives unannounced – with Nathanael Berthon, Nicolas Lapierre, Tom Dillmann and Pedro de la Rosa all having tested the car.

Coletti managed to complete 20 laps for Aguri and said he enjoyed the experience of driving the car for the first time, despite running in conditions that were either wet or damp.

The Renault e.dams team officially confirmed on August 28, that they will retain Sebastien Buemi and Nicolas Prost, as highly anticipated.

That still leaves three more seats that haven’t been filled yet even with the empty Aguri seats, even though the second season does not actually begin until October 17 at the Beijing round in China.

Dragon Racing is sticking with Loic Duval alongside Jerome d’Ambrosio and should confirm the ex-Le Mans winner in the coming weeks, while Briton Oliver Turvey is the most expected driver to partner the reigning champion Nelson Piquet Jr at the Team China Racing squad.

Andretti Autosport is keen on signing Robin Frijns alongside ex-IndyCar racer Simona de Silvestro, having tested the Audi GT driver two weeks ago.

So expect more international drivers coming and testing with teams and hoping, like Coletti, to drive in season two of the, already unique and thrilling, FIA Formula E World Championship.
