Arden International have signed French driver Norman Nato for the 2015 GP2 season.
The 22 year old switches from the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, where he collected two wins, including in Monaco, en route to seventh in the championship.
“I am delighted to join such an experienced and successful team for my debut in GP2,” said Nato. “The Abu Dhabi tests went well and I had a great feeling with the team. Although I am a rookie, I aim to achieve a strong performance in 2015.”
Garry Horner, the team principal of the Arden team, saw a move into GP2 as a logical step for the Frenchman.
“We are delighted to have Norman sign with us for our GP2 Championship challenge this season. We have had the opportunity to observe him closely throughout his year in the World Series Championship and feel he is ready for the step into GP2 Series.”
Reports state that Andre Negrao has already been retained by Arden for 2015, but this is yet to be officially confirmed by GP2.
