Stromsted Spielberg F3 Win Extends Wild 2026 Winner Streak

Noah Stromsted turned Formula 3’s chaotic 2026 pattern into another clean headline at Spielberg, winning the Feature Race from fourth on the grid as the championship produced its eighth different winner in eight races.

The Trident driver beat Campos Racing’s Ugo Ugochukwu by 1.373 seconds, with team-mate Freddie Slater third, according to the official FIA Formula 3 result. It was a sharp recovery from a weekend that had already punished several front-runners and left the Red Bull Ring feeling less like a form guide than a pressure test.

Stromsted times the decisive move

F3’s official report described a race full of battling, but Stromsted’s win was built on patience. He stayed close enough to the lead fight to protect his tyres, then struck late as the front group began to run out of margin.

The result matters because it did more than add another name to the winners’ list. Ugochukwu still leaves Austria on top of the standings with 78 points, ahead of Slater on 62 and Theophile Nael on 52, but the gap now has a Trident shape around it. Slater’s podium kept him second, while Stromsted’s win dragged another team car into the title conversation.

The wider number is the story: eight winners from eight races. In a junior category where qualifying swings, tyre drop-off and safety-car timing can shred a weekend, that streak suggests Silverstone may arrive with the championship still unusually open.
