Formula 1: Kimi Antonelli conquers Miami
The Kimi-era, as it’s been described in some quarters, is officially in full swing. Antonelli secured a masterful win at the 2026 Miami Grand Prix – his third consecutive F1 victory. Despite a late charge from Lando Norris, the Mercedes youngster held his nerve to extend his championship lead.
- The podium: Antonelli (P1) took the top step, followed by Norris (P2) and Oscar Piastri (P3), who took the final podium spot after a late-lap nightmare for Charles Leclerc.
- Penalty drama: Charles Leclerc suffered a late spin and ended up in P8 after receiving a 20-second penalty for track limit violations. Elsewhere, Max Verstappen finished P5 following a 5-second penalty for a pit exit violation.
- Standings: Antonelli now holds a healthy 20-point lead over teammate George Russell in the Drivers’ Championship.
Formula E: Mitch Evans’ record-breaking Berlin charge
The Berlin E-Prix lived up to its traditional chaotic reputation as Mitch Evans secured his 16th career victory – a new record for the series.
- From back to front: Evans performed a miraculous recovery drive, going from 17th on the grid to take the win. He timed his surge perfectly to overhaul the leaders in the final laps.
- The podium: Evans was joined by reigning champion Oliver Rowland (P2) and home favourite Pascal Wehrlein (P3), who has now regained the lead in the championship standings.
- Rookie watch: Rookie Taylor Barnard impressed early on, swapping the lead with Wehrlein, but finished 11th as the veteran’s experience won through with his energy-saving tactics.
NASCAR: Chase Elliott triumphs in Texas
Kyle Larson has dominated much of the early season, but it was Chase Elliott who took the chequered flag at the AdventHealth 400.
- Results: Elliott claimed the hard-fought victory, holding off a fierce challenge from Denny Hamlin (P2). Alex Bowman completed the top three in a battle separated by less than one second.
- Larson’s nightmare: Despite high hopes for the weekend, Kyle Larson finished 34th after mechanical issues saw him fall a long way behind the leaders.
- Top five: The final order saw Elliott, Hamlin, and Bowman, followed by Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher.
