Verstappen hints (again) at F1 exit as Red Bull struggles continue

Ahead of this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has yet again cast doubt over his F1 future, admitting he is weighing up some “life decisions” following a poor start to the 2026 season.

The four-time world champion has been an outspoken critic of the new hybrid regs, which have left Red Bull’s RB22 languishing in sixth place in the constructors’ championship.

With Verstappen appearing increasingly interested in endurance racing – he’s a confirmed entrant in the upcoming Nurburgring 24 Hours on May 16 – speculation continues to mount that the Dutchman may not see out his contract to 2028.

“There are more things in life than just driving around in circles,” Verstappen commented during Thursday’s open media session.

Texas motor speedway kicks off triple-header weekend

The NASCAR circus has arrived in Fort Worth for a weekend of high-octane intermediate racing. The action begins this evening (UK time) with practice and qualifying for the Craftsman Truck Series, with the SpeedyCash.com 250 race starting on Saturday at 1am BST (8pm tonight ET).

The weekend is effectively a mid-season test for Cup Series stars, with practice and qualifying for the Wurth 400 scheduled for tomorrow. Championship leaders, Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing, are looking to defend their narrow advantage on a track notorious for high tyre wear and ‘Texas-sized’ crashes.

Formula E: Porsche goes ‘pink’ in Berlin

The FIA Formula E World Championship heads this weekend to the historic Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit for the Berlin E-Prix double-header. Sure to stand out at the event are the factory Porsches, after the team unveiled a special ‘Pink Pig’ livery on its 99X Electric cars to celebrate 75 years of Porsche Motorsport.

The grid is also abuzz with rumours of a software mapping dispute, which is said to involve several of the top teams. This. reportedly, emerged during the scrutineering of the cars. While no official penalties have been issued, the FIA is said to be monitoring the cars’ energy recovery systems ahead of Saturday’s opening race.

Sounds familiar, right?

The IndyCar Series today enters its most iconic month of the year. While the Sonsio Grand Prix road course race is still one week away, teams have started to arrive at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to prepare for the 110th running of the Indy 500.

Pato O’Ward and Alex Palou are still the championship favourites, but eyes are now on the ‘one-offs’ and returning vets who are beginning their own orientation programmes.
