Lando Norris, the current reigning F1 world champion, has already picked a Hollywood actor whom he thinks could be perfect to portray him in his biopic, if it’s ever made.
The actor is none other than Tom Holland, who is widely known for playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Homecoming trilogy and the MCU’s Avengers movies.
Norris made his F1 debut at just 19 in 2019. However, in 2024, he secured his first race win in Miami, after finishing on the podium 15 times without a victory. That year not only marked his maiden win but also saw him play a key role in McLaren’s first Constructors’ Championship in 26 years.
At the time, he even had a slight chance of becoming the WDC while competing against Max Verstappen. However, Verstappen’s iconic performance in São Paulo shattered those hopes, leaving Norris second in the drivers’ standings.
Despite the setbacks, Norris remained consistent in 2025. His determination to fight until the very last lap in Abu Dhabi proved to be fruitful, as he clinched the championship from Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a world champion.
Norris reveals his wish for the biopic
In a recent interview with GQ, Norris was asked which actor he would pick to play him in a film about his life. He revealed that it would be Holland, whom even fans think would be an apt fit for his role. “Tom’s a cool guy and a good golfer as well. And obviously a pretty good actor. I’ll probably go with Tom Holland,” he added.
This is not the first time Norris has answered this question, as he was asked about it even in a SPORTBible interview earlier, and his response was the same. He mentioned that he knows Holland a little bit. He also disclosed that they are planning to play golf together sometime, and when that time comes, he would definitely ask him if he would be up for depicting him in his movie.
Holland and Norris share familiarity and interests
While fans do see an “uncanny resemblance” between the British actor and the F1 star, the duo also shares a mutual interest in golf. Norris has been pretty vocal about his love for the sport, even mentioning at times that if he weren’t a racer, he would definitely be a golfer.
On the other hand, Holland is also very fond of golf, having revealed once that he’s “addicted” to it and thinks it helps him relax and switch off temporarily from the pressures of his demanding acting career.
Although Norris is another favourite Brit driver of Holland, he is also a huge fan of Lewis Hamilton. He previously praised Hamilton in a conversation with BlackTree TV, saying, “He is setting an example for so many people around the world.”
Meanwhile, Lando Norris has also spoken about being a Hamilton fan, once mentioning that he grew up watching and supporting Hamilton. He also credited the now-Scuderia Ferrari driver for being the reason he joined Formula 1.
Since the duo shares not just a youthful resemblance but also some mutual interests, it could help Holland prepare much more effectively for the role if a Norris biopic ever happens.
