Red Bull has revealed its 2019 challenger, the RB15, in a radical livery described as a “special edition, one-off,” design.
The RB15 is the first Red Bull to be powered by Honda, after the team severed ties with Renault at the end of 2018.
The radical red and blue design featured on the car during the team’s filming day at Silverstone on Wednesday morning.
Last season, Red Bull launched the RB14 with a blue and black camouflage livery that was only used on launch day.
In 2015, the team completed pre-season testing with a striking black and white camouflage livery before abandoning the design prior to the first race.
The team has yet to confirm whether the new livery showcased in the launch images will be used in testing at Barcelona or replaced with a more conventional design.
Aston Martin remains Red Bull’s title sponsor, with the car manufacturer’s branding prominent on the RB15.
Max Verstappen is expected to lead the team this season as he is joined by Toro Rosso graduate Pierre Gasly, who enters his first season at Red Bull as a replacement for Daniel Ricciardo.
Last season, Verstappen claimed two race wins en route to fourth in the championship. He ended 2018 in strong form, claiming six podiums in the last seven races and was only outscored by champion Lewis Hamilton across the period.

“I’m very excited to get started [in 2019],” Verstappen said in a pre-season video. “The off season has been quite long.
“I just try to get the best out of myself but I think, in terms of goals – you have to wait and see what the car and engine is going to do.
“Up until Australia you can’t really set goals anyway because in Formula 1 it’s a bit blind – it’s so related to the package you get.”
