Lewis Hamilton led Kimi Raikkonen at the top of the timesheets in the final practice session of 2018 in Abu Dhabi, the world champion nearly three-tenths clear of the Finn.
Most of the 20 drivers set their fastest qualifying simulation laps in the closing minutes of the session, Sebastian Vettel the first to set a time and shooting to the top of the times with a 1m37.587s.
Hamilton then snatched away the top spot shortly afterwards, a position he would never relinquish, with a 1m37.176s tour.
Raikkonen slotted into second behind Hamilton following his own run on the hyper-soft tyre, nearly three tenths down on the Brit.
Max Verstappen managed to set the fourth quickest time for Red Bull, just over half-a-second in arrears of the session-leading Mercedes, while Valtteri Bottas was fifth 0.747s away from his team-mate.
Daniel Ricciardo was the last driver within a second of Hamilton in sixth, although suffered a mechanical issue in the closing stages of the session, coming to a halt on circuit as a result.
Romain Grosjean led the midfield charge meanwhile for Haas, a massive half-a-second clear of the Renault pair of Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz.
Esteban Ocon rounded off the top ten despite missing most of the session due to an engine issue, the Frenchman able to get out and set a time towards the end.
Charles Leclerc had an eventful session, the Monegasque backing his Sauber into the wall on the exit of Turn 19, losing his rear wing in the process.
He was able to continue back to the pits, although was forced to miss the rest of the session while his car was fixed and ended up 13th fastest.
