Ticktum takes pole for second Zandvoort race

Dan Ticktum has taken pole for the second race of the European Formula 3 weekend, with a time two tenths quicker than second on the grid Ralf Aron.

Ticktum set the quickest time of the weekend so far with a 1m 28.779s lap, a tenth quicker than the pole time from first qualifying.

The Motopark driver topped the leaderboard for much of the session, trading times with Juri Vips, who in the end had to settle for eighth.

Mick Schumacher finished the day in third fastest, ahead of Alex Palou and championship leader Marcus Armstrong.

Race one polesitter Guanyo Zhou was sixth fastest and Carlin improved from its underwhelming first qualifying with Ferdinand Habsburg in seventh.

Marino Sato and Robert Shvartzman round out the top ten.

Enaam Ahmed could only manage 16thafter his crash in second practice, albeit an improvement on his 22ndon the grid for race one.
